First Pressing — Angel Records
This is an original Angel pressing (3AEX 5036), manufactured by The Gramophone Company of India in the 1960s. Angel pressings were the very first editions released — pressed on heavier vinyl with superior audio quality. They are distinguished by the iconic Angel logo on the label and are the most sought-after versions among Indian vinyl collectors.
Later reissues of this recording appeared on Odeon and HMV/EMI labels, but the Angel pressing remains the definitive original edition.
About This Record
An original first pressing on Angel Records / The Gramophone Company of India (1964) — increasingly sought after by collectors.
Sangam (1964) was Raj Kapoor's magnum opus — the first Indian film shot extensively abroad (in Europe). Shankar-Jaikishan's music produced timeless hits like 'Dost Dost Na Raha' and 'Bol Radha Bol'. One of the highest-grossing Hindi films of the 1960s.
