What is Rekord Room?

Rekord Room is a curated vinyl record shop in Kozhikode (Calicut), Kerala, founded in November 2024 by Glen M J. We stock 273 hand-picked records, from Bollywood and Ghazal classics to rock, disco, and jazz, including 46 original first pressings.

Where is the shop located?

On the first floor of Latin Street Cafe, Corporation Office Road, Mananchira, Kozhikode, Kerala 673032. Walk in during cafe hours, browse the crates, and listen before you buy. Get directions.

Do you ship across India?

Yes. We ship anywhere in India via Delhivery. Orders are dispatched within 2 business days of payment confirmation and typically arrive within 7 days. International shipping is currently not available.

How are records packaged for shipping?

Every record ships in a dedicated record mailer with cardboard stiffeners to prevent warping or corner damage in transit.

How do I pay?

Place an order through the website checkout or message us on WhatsApp. Once we confirm availability, we share payment details. We accept UPI and bank transfer.

How are records graded?

Each record is play-tested and graded honestly using standard vinyl grading (Mint, Near Mint, VG+, VG, and so on), with separate grades for the vinyl and the sleeve. The grade is shown on every listing.

Are the records cleaned?

Yes. Every record is professionally cleaned before it is listed, and shipped in a fresh inner sleeve where needed.

What is a first pressing and why does it matter?

A first pressing is the earliest production run of a record, made from the original master. Collectors value first pressings for their sound and rarity. Our first pressings include original Angel and Odeon pressings from the golden era of Indian vinyl.

Can I return a record?

If a record arrives damaged in shipping, contact us within 48 hours with photographs and we will arrange a replacement or a full refund. We do not accept returns based on sound quality for accurately graded vintage vinyl.
