About This Record

Georgie Auld was the real deal — he played in Benny Goodman's and Artie Shaw's bands before going solo, and even dubbed the saxophone parts in the film New York, New York. This 1956 EmArcy first pressing is a gorgeous example of mid-century jazz arranging at its most lush and swinging.
