This first pressing is a time capsule of Punjabi folk at its most authentic — Asa Singh Mastana's earthy voice, Surinder Kaur (the Nightingale of Punjab) in her prime, and Prakash Kaur alongside her. Before Punjabi music went global, these were the voices that defined it.
